To need to convert back to USB A on a camera that proudly advertises USB C, with a 3rd party, hard to find dongle is crazy. There is no mention of this anywhere in their support literature. I also agree with your Logitech support frustrations. It is such a shame to have to run a seperate USB A cable back to my laptop when my dockingstation has free USB-C ports. I tried converting to A then plugging that into my docking station USB A port, with no luck as the docking station connects to the laptop with USB C (Thunderbolt 4). In my case, the camera must be converted from USB C to A and plugged directly into my laptop´s USB A port. I tried everything as well, and was about to return it. My real complaint though was how this was handled so badly by customer service - I don't want to name / shame the rep here - but it was truly the worst customer service I have experienced from any major tech company. No idea if this is replicable for other users, but it worked 100% for me - now I can use the streamcam as normal. I was going crazy but then I tried one last thing - don't know why, it was a bit random - but I was using the USB-C cable of course, into the USB-C socket of my laptop, and so I decided to put a USB-c to USB-a adaptor on it, and plugged it in, instead, to one of the old-style USB-a sockets on my laptop - and instantly the flickering was gone! from what I saw in forums and on youtube the problem may be something to do with how the camera handles USB power, but as soon as I was using the USB-a connection the camera functioned perfectly. I had a staggering 33 emails back and forth with the customer service rep who kept telling me to try other windows computers (apparently you need to have more than one laptop in order to be able to use this camera!), telling me that if it worked on a Mac then it was clearly my hardware that was at fault, and basically refusing point blank to accept it back or give me a refund despite the fact that I'd bought it from Logitech and it was withing the no fault return period. I had INCREDIBLY unhelpful responses from Logitech customer service - denying it was really a problem, telling me it was about 50/60hz flickering despite the details I provided about it being a USB issue and despite the dozens of reported problems of this, including numerous YouTube videos, it was as if I was the first person ever to report this. basically unusable on a brand new, top end, windows 10 Thinkpad - big purple / multi color flicker / flashes every few seconds making using it on videocalls etc. ![]() Test if the same issue re-appears when used on a different system with Windows 10.I bought a streamcam direct from logitech, wanted to get the best of the best, and then found I had terrible problems with this streamcam flicker that everyone reports. I would be very keen to hear from others if they have any more success But the streamcam is basically useless with this at the moment, and they are offering to swap it for another camera but I don't see why the outcome will be different. I have a high spec, new, 2020 ThinkPad X1 Yoga, with Windows 10 and so that should be pretty standard setup. The fixes they suggested have not worked, and they now suggest I should test it with other computers. They say that because the camera works on my Mac but not on my Windows 10 system, the camera is fine. This is what I was told by Logitech - basically, if StreamCam doesn't work with my laptop, I need to use a different laptop! the problem can't be with Streamcam! I am afraid I am not having any success at all. While it is great that Logitech support are offering to speak to each person separately, I have no idea if anyone is having any success in getting this fixed.
